| Iran and Iraq discuss ways of expanding industrial and mining cooperation |

Gholamreza Shafei, Iranian deputy minister of labor, cooperatives and social welfare, and Maki Hamoud Al-Deiri, Iraq's deputy industries minister, discussed the issues at a meeting held in Tehran, Mehr News Agency reported.
Shafei said Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) is prepared to cooperate with Iraq in various fields, including the production of dialysis machines and stem cells.
He said companies affiliated to IDRO are prepared to collaborate with Iraq in the field of producing alloy steel and pipelines. Shafei noted that Iraqi companies can participate in a large number of investment projects designed by IDRO.
During a meeting with the visiting Iraqi delegation, Mohammad Taqi Husseini, deputy cooperatives, labor and social welfare minister, said the ministry is prepared to cooperate with the Iraqi government. |
